Guidance is limited to supportive measures any owner can carry out without risk: cleaning, isolation, hydration, warmth, rest and observation. It is designed to keep an animal comfortable and stable until a veterinarian can see it — never to replace one.

CLINICAL STANDARDS
How VetCanvas uses the VeNom clinical codes
Clinical findings are recorded using the VeNom nomenclature maintained by the VeNom Coding Group at the Royal Veterinary College. Access is granted one authenticated user and one patient at a time, and only within the practice that owns the record. The code set itself is never published, listed, exported, or passed to any third party — and the product contains no function capable of doing so.
AN ANIMAL OWNER SEES
A plain-language explanation of their own animal.
One case, in ordinary Bangla or English. No clinical term, no code, no reference list, and no means of requesting one. Coding is internal and invisible on the consumer side.
A VETERINARIAN SEES
Suggested terms for the patient in front of them.
A small number of candidate terms for the consultation being written, presented one case at a time inside their own authenticated practice account. Each is confirmed or rejected by the veterinarian; nothing is applied automatically.
NO ONE OBTAINS
The code set, in whole or in part.
There is no export, download, print-to-list, bulk query, public API or reporting view that returns the nomenclature. Browsing the list is not a feature of the product for any class of user, including our own staff accounts.
SAFEGUARDS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION
Terms are served at runtime from a protected store. They are not embedded in any page, application bundle or file the user receives.
No request returns more than the terms relevant to a single named patient record, and every request is tied to an authenticated user.
Only terms agreed by the VeNom Coding Group are used. We do not extend, rename or invent codes, and any local term is held separately and unassociated.
Maintenance and revision of the nomenclature remain entirely with the VeNom Coding Group. Updates are adopted as issued.
Should the agreement end, all association with the Royal Veterinary College and the VeNom Coding Group is removed from the product and its materials.
Use of the codes is governed solely by our agreement with the VeNom Coding Group, and no onward right is granted to any clinic, user or partner.
